Moving On

I'm thinking about moving out of my mom's house, it seems like the right time. Now that my 20th birthday had rolled around and the winter semester is almost over it feels like good timing. The whole things seems kinda overwelming though, finding a cheap yet cute studio appartment, a better job that pays more and has more hours or a bucket of free money. The world seems so open now that I've realized I can go anywhere and do anything, I dont know this idea never hit me sooner. Well I just have to see how this all works out :/

At times lately I find myself holding my breath for no apparent reason. When walking up four flights of stares to get to class or when in the middle of a large group of people, I feel myself having to remember to just breath in and out.

Baby Turts

A week or so ago I bought 2 cute little baby turtles from a fleemarket where they were kept in a tiny little cage that was being shaken by a small Mexican child, and since I'm helpless to adorable tiny creatures I felt obligated to save their lives and give them a safer home. Little did I know that once I got them to their new home they would starve themselves for 2 whole weeks, but finally to my surprise they ate for the first time last night and I couldn't be more excited. Now that one of them has decided to live I've chosen to name him Louie.

Have You Seen My Baby?

While in French class today my teacher who mind my language is a Nazi bitch, was showing us a helpful and interesting website called Euronews.com where you can look up articles and video's about news that relevant to the world not just The United States and watch and read them in all sorts of different languages one of them being french. So when I was suppose to be doing my online math class I decided to look up this site and while I did I came across this cool interview with Moby that I quite enjoyed. Down below is a part of the interview where he talks about Obama's Heath care plan and what he thinks about Ameicans, all of it being pretty entertaining and informative. Thanks Mo

Euronews: “Are you surprised by the attacks against Obama’s health care plan?”

Moby: “Well, the attacks on Obama’s health care plan… it is almost like a surrealist farce. It is like an Ionesco play, you know the playwrite…it is an absurdist, dadaist farce, because people… I mean unfortunately, there is a long tradition of arrogance and ignorance and unequal measures in the United States. But the attacks on Obama’s health care plan are so ignorant and are funded by the health care industry. So my favourite story about the attacks on Obama’s health care plan in the United States is: a member of the House of Representatives was having a town hall meeting with a bunch of rightwing senior citizens, and he asked a simple question : “Who here is opposed to socialised medicine?” Everybody raised their hand. And now his next question: “Who here is on Medicaid and Medicare?” And everybody raised their hand. Medicare and Medicaid is socialised medicine. So, what I am surprised by is just how intense the attacks are on Obama and health care. What I am not surprised by is how ignorant Americans are, once again. Americans will never surprised me in their capacity to be angry and ignorant at the same time.”

Attaché

With school just right around the corner, I've been thinking of all of the new school supplies I need to get but the one thing that I cannot stop obsessing about is an attaché case. These briefcase like bags seem like such a classy and cool way to tote paper work and such for school .

Oh Mia

I recently watched Rosemary's Baby, and it made me realize, as if I didn't already know, how cute Mia Farrow is. I should really start watching more old films. There the bee's knees. And they always make me miss people speaking in those adorable sing-song voices that they used to. Perhaps next ill watch Driving Miss Daisy, or Alice, either way I know I wont be disappointed.

Lack There Of

I've come to the conclusions that this blog is going to be an anti-fashion blog from here on out, because everytime I find a seemingly interesting person's blog it either consists of stories about boys or pictures of ridiculously expensive fashions. Yes, cute clothes are cool, but they don't make the person better or more likable, they just make them more attractive. Right now it's 1:00 in the morning and I'm sitting on my couch in my underwear, thinking about the movie I just watched called "Sunshine Cleaning," and how the sister's relationship in the movie made me thing of my own sister who recently found out she pregnant. I spent the majority of my day today at target reading her baby shower registry and trying to find out what kind of mother she will be from the items she choose for her baby. And while looking at her gray car seat and cute inexpensive eddie bower crib, I realized that she will surpass anyone else as a parent, because what a kid needs isn't expensive clothes or fancy gadgets, a kid needs love and she is full of that. Love is free it doesn't come from owning little gold purses or crazy tall stilettos it comes from within. You cant buy what we have, you can only look good in your tight diaperish looking jean shorts, but who are you really fooling. Not me that's for sure.

I'm having a barbecue today, and I have a feeling its gunna be a flop. Why do people have to be busy when I am not? Saw Up in 3D at 12:00 last night, before that I ate some chips, went swimming then showered with 2 hot ladies in the shower, and road my bike to lodi lake and got drunk with some friends. I can finally start to feel summer coming my way and it feels warm and full of fun times.

Dancing Fox Winery & Bakery

Tomorrow after my last final, my friend and I are going to try out Lodi's newest and cutest bakery called "Dancing Fox". Apparently their oven cost over 60,000 dollars and was so fancy they had to fly someone in from Spain to install it. Lets hope their cookies are to my liking.

I've got nothing interesting to say. They should ban lazy people like me from having a blog, because nothing good ever comes from it. If your looking for something fun to read go look at Austin's blog, it's more exciting then mine.

Update

1. My mom's boyfriend recently moved in with us. I was told it was just a visit, but he has yet to leave. All he does is sit on the couch all day watching game shows and drinking cheap beer. I don't thing I would mind him being here so much if he didn't hog the TV. He better get a move on it before Thursday come around, because shits gunna go down if I cant watch 30 Rock and The Office.

2. Last weekend I found out 2 people I knew committed suicide.

3. While I was getting my free car wash at Prime Shine after my oil change, my radio antenna
snapped off. Leaving me having to drive all the way to and from Santa Cruz without music.

4. Like everyone else my hours have been drastically cut at work due to the bad
economy, leaving me with only 7 hours a week and no money.

5. One great thing that
happened was a group of friends and I went camping in Santa Cruz which was the time of my life. We took naps in the grass, drank too much beer, played soccer in the sand, swam in the ocean and eat delicious meals.

6. Yet, while on the camping trip my face got pretty sunburned and is now peeling off. Also on the drive back, when I was getting
gas my pin number was stolen. This lead to my checking account being drained and my bank account having to be closed.

7. Even though so many terrible things have
happened lately, I have yet to feel bad because hey, I'm still on spring brake, the weather is nice and I have some pretty decent friends to support me during my time of need.

Not So Supirsed

This weekend I threw what was suppose to be a surprise birthday party for my best friends, and even though I ended up being the one shocked by her lack of suprise, it was all in all a pretty good time.

Big Love

Last Sunday I was watching HBO's Big Love when I realized that part of the episode is shot in old town Sacramento. Apparently Bill Paxton and Arnold Schwarzenegger are close friends so they decided to pay tribute to their friendship by filming Big Love in Arnold's city. How exciting to know that 0ne of the greatest tv shows was so close to me.

Here's some pictures I found on google of their time spent in sac.

In Response to Rachel

I am too going to use this blog. In fact the lack of support makes me want to succeed even more.

For the past couple of days it has been nonstop stormy and wonderful. I wish the weather could be like this 8 months out of the year. It puts me into a sort of mood where all I want to do is read books, drink tea, make friendship bracelets, bake goodies, do puzzles and take cat naps with my cats.

Post Merriweather Pavillion

This song is constantly stuck in my head, but its so cute that I don't mind.

"My Girls"
There isn't much, that I feel I need,
A solid soul, and the blood I bleed
With a little girl, and by my spouse
I only want a proper house,
I don't care, for fancy things,
Or to take part in the precious wait,
I will provide for the ones who ask,
I will, with heart, on my father's grave.

I don't mean, to seem like I care about
Material things like a social stance,
I just want four walls and adobe slats
For my girls.

Coraline

Directed by Henry Selick of the Nightmare Before Christmas and based on Neil Gaiman's book, is the scariest 3D stop motion animation I have ever seen. The story follows a young girl named Coraline who finds an alternate reality in which everyone is controlled by her "other mother" and have buttons for eyes. This other world feels like a badass acid trip, and if your looking for something along those lines, I would defiantly recommend Coraline.

Hello New Friend

I've finally decided to start up this blogspot after a long relationship with livejournal. I hope all goes well.
